A s a member of your local camera club you are a part of a wider photographic community which looks to promote and expand your experience and enjoyment of photography.

The North Wales Photographic Association (NWPA) was formed in 1981 to represent all the photographic clubs in North Wales and is one of fifteen federations which together make up the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB).

We provide the following benefits for clubs and their members:

an Exhibition held annually to showcase the best work from Club members

Inter-Club Competitions held in Spring and Autumn, the winning clubs being invited to represent the NWPA in the relevant PAGB National Inter-Club Championships

advice and guidance for clubs including Public Liability and Trustee indemnity Insurance cover

the NWPA and PAGB directories listing Judges and Lecturers willing to visit your club for just travelling expenses.

occasional Lectures and Workshops

regular NWPA eNewsletters giving details of forthcoming events and Salon and competition results

a Recognition Award Scheme for individuals who have significantly contributed to the North Wales Club scene

Club members are able to apply for PAGB Awards for Photographic Merit at three levels: Credit - Distinction - Master

FIAP distinctions (Federation Internationale de l’Art Photographique) can also be achieved with acceptances in International Salons and Exhibitions with FIAP Patronage

a chance to enter the prestigious Masters of Print Exhibition

The next Adjudication for the PAGB APMs will be hosted in North Wales at Llandrillo College Rhos-on-Sea, over the weekend of 27/28 April 2019. The list for Credit is full, but there are a few spaces left for the Distinction and Master. If you wish to apply, contact Phil Chadwick (Email Phil here) for an application form as soon as possible. Nearer the time Phil will issue details of how to apply for tickets to be in the audience and see some excellent photography.
