On the evening of 6th October, Rob Prenton Jones, who is a member of Eryri and Conwy Camera Clubs, was presented with his Global Photographic Union VIP 5 distinction certificate. The GPU is a worldwide photographic organisation which organises a number of photographic distinctions. The VIP (Very Important Photograph) distinction is based on photos awarded the top prize in international photographic exhibitions.

The awards eligible for VIPs are the 1st prize, Gold medal, Best Work of Salon, and each eligible award is assessed for suitability by a special GPU committee. Rob is only the second person in the UK to have been awarded the highest-level VIP 5 distinction, by achieving the top prize for 50 different images.

The photograph shows Rob being presented with his certificate by the GPU representative for the UK, Sharon Prenton Jones. Sharon is not only Rob's wife, but also the only other person in the UK to have already achieved this distinction.

Faithful Reflection is the 50th International Gold Medal image awarded to Rob, and was taken in his home studio featuring the model Natalie Ciufo-Green.
