The NWPA are pleased to announce a second Autumn workshop featuring an outdoor model shoot. The workshop will be led by Sharon and Robert Prenton Jones and will be limited to 6 participants. Photographers who attended the 1st workshop are asked not to put their names forward for this 2nd workshop to allow others to attend.
The cost per participant will be £60. The workshop will feature Annie Williams, who will have two different ‘looks’ in various areas at the location, and the small numbers will ensure that each participant will have ample time to capture images of each set-up. The workshop will feature both natural light and the use of off-camera flash to enhance the existing ambient daylight.
Participants should be familiar with their camera settings and should be comfortable shooting in manual mode and be able to change shutter speed, aperture and ISO to make the most of the available light. Sharon and Rob are experienced portrait photographers and will be on hand to help participants get the most out of the model shoot.
The workshop will be held in Conwy at a venue with ample parking and will last approximately three hours. Parking charges are in place at the venue. A moderate level of fitness will be required as the workshop will feature a short walk (approx. half a mile) and will include a slight incline in a wooded area. A full information pack will be sent to those registered.
Anyone interested in attending this workshop should email [email protected] before the closing date of 12 noon on 2nd October.
If more than six people apply for the workshop, the names of all applicants will be placed in a hat and six names will be drawn, with the remainder forming a waiting list. The six successful participants will receive a confirmatory email on the afternoon of 2nd October and will then need to pay £60 each into the NWPA account by 12 noon on 7th October to confirm their place. Anyone who has not paid by 12 noon on 7th October will be replaced by someone on the waiting list, who will need to pay immediately and will receive an email to confirm their place.
Please note that, as this is an outdoor event, we are at the mercy of the elements and the workshop may have to be cancelled at very short notice if the weather does not allow us to proceed. If this is necessary, participants will be given a full refund. If we are able to reschedule the event, those participants will be offered a place on the rescheduled date.
