Thank you to Ian O'Neill, and a new website

Ian O'Neill has handed over the running of the NWPA website. He built it, and he kept it going for many years — every competition result, every calendar change, every newsletter added by hand, one page at a time.

That is a great deal of quiet, unglamorous work, done well and done consistently. Anyone who has looked up a venue at short notice, or found the affiliation form when their club needed it, has Ian to thank for it being there. The Association is grateful, and says so.

Everything he built is still in place. The previous site has been kept exactly as it was and nothing has been removed — the Roll of Honour, the exhibition galleries from 2018 onwards and the newsletter archive are all where members expect to find them, on the legacy archive.

The new site

This one is a fresh build, and the main difference members will notice is that it has been designed with phones and tablets very much in mind. Pages should now be readable and usable on a handset, without pinching and scrolling.

David Griffiths has taken over as webmaster, and would be glad to hear from clubs. An exhibition, a club anniversary, a member's success at a salon, a change of venue, a date for the calendar — all of it is welcome, and passing it around the region is what the site is for.
